Sparano Defends Henne and Reasons Why Dolphins Fans Should Too

08/03/2011 14:32

Tony Sparano rarely shows any sign of emotion but in Sparano's interview today after practice today Sparano vented his anger at the Miami fans. When asked about the "We want Orton" chants that happened at the monday night practice Sparano responded by saying, "It makes me sick." Clearly Henne is the man, for now, in Miami and us Dolfans should be supportive who knows maybe he will surprise us. To add to that Chad Henne had a good practice today in Davie where field temperatures reached 125 degrees. Lets remember it is only the first week of practices and the players still need to get into the swing of things. Lets also remember that the Dolphins are building their offense and its impossible for a team to put together a good offense in less than a week, especially against the Dolphins defense which is one of the best defenses in the league. Furthermore Chad Henne has great potential.  Although never  transferred into pro stats (so far) Chad Henne did have four great years at Michigan passing for 9,740 yards and 87 touchdowns so the potential for greatness is obviously there. Watch this video i foud of Chad Henne https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TERnwoqnmLk it includes clips from the last two years and a couple from his Michigan days. That video clearly shows that he has the potential of being a good quarterback and that he has a very strong arm. If he fixes a few things he can be a very good QB in the NFL. His biggest flaw is his decision making and if he can improve on that he can be a pretty good quarterback. Practice against the stellar Dolphins defense is probably a big help to his decision making. Also this would be his third year as a starter and you know what they say third time is the charm. After last year things can only get better and the front office and Tony Sparano obviously see something in him thats good enough for them to not go after a good QB in free agency. In the end Henne is the Dolphins quarterback and all of fins nation should get behind him.

Also watch any video of him from his Michigan years there easy to find on YouTube. I know its againt college teams and there is a huge difference between college and NFL defenses but it shows the arm strength, accuracy, and especially his ability to throw on the run and those attributes are not affected by NFL defenses.
